Creating your perfect designs

This guide will show you how to create designs for your TownStix labels. This works for both US Letter size and A4 size labels.

 

Start Designing

 

We will use Canva (https://canva.com) for our designing. Canva is an online design tool that is free to use.

What you will need: 

• PNG template for your label size (download it here)
• Web browser with Internet connection
• Printer

Step 1: Set the size

Choose from A4 or US Letter size depending on the labels you have.

Step 2: Upload the PNG template

On the left, click on Uploads > Upload an image, and select your PNG file.

If you have not downloaded the template yet, you can do so here.

Step 3: Insert the PNG template

Drag the uploaded image into the page. It should cover the entire page.

Step 4: Start designing. 

On the left, you can select from hundreds of fonts and images. (You can learn more from Canva’s tutorials)

Step 5: Remove the template

Once you have satisfied with your designs, you will need to remove the template. (This is so you do not print the template lines too).

Double click on the page, and hit Delete on your keyboard. You should no longer see the template lines.

Step 6: Download and print. 

In the top right corner, click on Publish > Download. Select PDF Standard as the file type, and click on Download. Your PDF file is now ready!
